Charles A. Tievsky Elected Chair of AILA Washington, D.C. Chapter

On May 21, 2014, Charles A. Tievsky was elected Chair of the Washington, D.C. Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) for the 2014-2015 program year. As Chapter Chair, he will serve as presiding officer and directive head of the D.C. Chapter, which is comprised of approximately 1,000 immigration attorneys practicing in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia. He will also serve as a member of the AILA Board of Governors, responsible for setting policy for AILA as a whole, which has 13,000 members nationwide. Mr. Tievsky’s objectives for the Chapter this coming year include expanding pro bono programs, streamlining Chapter operations and promoting member involvement.
