December State Department Projections for Visa Availability

The State Department's December 2016 Visa Bulletin projects increased demand for employment based visas in the coming months. State expects to reduce availability of the EB-2 Advanced Degree and Exceptional Ability category "no later than July" 2016, without stating how far back the cutoff would reach.

The EB-3 Professionals/Skilled Worker category, which has been close to current Worldwide, has not advanced this month, and likely will not in January 2017.

EB-3 India will advance only one week, "will hold for several months, then move one week, then likely" hold again.

Overall, visa demand continues to be strong.
