Charles A. His clients include well-known multinational corporations, entrepreneurs, software and technology companies, retail businesses, and individuals, providing representation in regard to the full range of employment and family-based matters. He has limited his practice to business and family immigration law since 2003, and has practiced federal administrative and regulatory law since 1984.

Mr. Tievsky has held leadership roles in the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), and served as Chair of AILA's Washington, D.C.Chapter, representing 1,000 immigration attorneys practicing in D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. As Chapter Chair, he was a member of AILA's Board of Governors (2014-2015), responsible for the association's overall governance. In recent years, Mr. Tievsky has also served on the AILA USCIS Vermont Service Center Liaison Committee (2012-2014) and Social Security/State Department of Motor Vehicles Liaison Committee (2011-2012). He has also held several other AILA Washington, D.C. Chapter Executive Committee offices (2010 - 2015), and was Chair of the D.C. Chapter's USCIS Washington District Office Liaison Committee (2008-2010).

Mr. Tievsky has been widely quoted in the media on immigration law policy issues, including the Washington Post and other newspapers, and has actively lobbied and testified on immigration and border issues before national and local elected officials. He believes strongly in public service, and played a key role in organizing numerous pro bono legal clinics in Virginia, Maryland, and D.C. to provide guidance to potential beneficiaries of USCIS' Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program established in June 2012.

Mr. Tievsky was the 2005 recipient of the Fairfax Bar Association's Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year award. He also received the 2006 Chairman's Award from the Herndon-Dulles Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Tievsky earned his J.D. and B.A. degrees from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia and in the District of Columbia. He and his family live in Oakton, Virginia
