Venoos Vahid
Attorney
Venoos Vahid earned her J.D. degree, with a concentration in international comparative law, from the George Washington University Law School in 2022. During her time at GW Law, she was a member of the International Law Review and wrote on her thesis of how sanctions affect women’s rights in Iran. Furthermore, she and three of her classmates represented GW Law in the Willem C. Vis international moot commercial arbitration competition. She competed virtually in Vienna, Austria as well as in several virtual pre-moots around the world such as Iran, China, and India. In addition to her course work and activities at GW Law, Venoos had the privilege to intern at the Tahirih Justice Center, the National Immigration Forum, and the Legal Services of Northern Virginia, showing her dedication to uplifting her community through her career.
Venoos passed the Universal Bar Exam in July of 2022, and was recently admitted to the Alabama State Bar in August of 2023. She looks forward to using her passion for international law and immigration matters to contribute to the Firm.
Marissa Thomas
Attorney
Marissa earned her J.D. from Elon University School of Law in Greensboro, North Carolina. During law school, she was a Student Attorney in the Humanitarian Immigration Law Clinic in which she successfully represented low-income refugees and asylum seekers in North Carolina with applying for political asylum, permanent residency, citizenship, as well as reunifying families separated by war and conflict. Through her work with multiple international organizations, including the International Organization for Migration and the International Monetary Fund, Marissa has shown her passion and dedication to support the global community. She is eager to utilize this knowledge in her work with Tievsky Immigration Law.
Marissa is a member of the District of Columbia Bar.
